Workability 4/26/12
Mr. Bridges and his ESE/Strive class teamed up with Mrs. Golden and our advance students to teach a school-to-work transition program. This is something very exciting that we are trying at CHS and look forward to seeing some great results from both the Global Logistics students and the ESE/Strive class. Today we discussed the importance of a clean home and work place and learned the skill of sweeping. We hope you enjoy the pictures from today!

Global Logistics Associate

Mrs. Golden had the privilage of attending the AST&L certified train-the-trainer course in Jacksonville. All the students are very excited for Mrs. Golden as she will soon become GLA certified and in turn we the students can then become certified, when we pass our test. :-)

Target Tour
We had the privilage of touring the Target DC on Friday 2/24 and 3/9. We would like to give a BIG thank you to Mr. Rabakon and his team members for taking time out of there day to educate us about Target.
Below are some quotes from the students:
"The facility itself was amazing, and I was presented with many new things. I loved the kind and patient words of the tour guides, and how they were always open to questions no matter how small. The warehouse has brought many new jobs the area and I deeply appreciate what Target and its emplyees have done for this community." -John O'Neal, 11th grader
"Touring the Target distribution center has given me an idea of what I want to do for a career, which I didn't have before. When I graduate from Columbia High School and complete the logistics program, I will be filling out an application to work at the Target Distribution Center." - Ian Cosentiino, 10th grader
"Being involed in Logistics has impacted my life in a copious amout. By being enrolled in a Logistics class I have learned how much work goes into a warehouse and how much effort it take to get the food and other materials into the stores that we go to." - Melia Morlowe, 12th grader
